Wayne's World.

Aku masih ingat pertama kali aku melihat gerakannya di lapangan hijau. "remember the name! Wayne Rooney!" begitu teriakan dari komentator di layar kaca. Saat itu yang terbesit di pikiran adalah betapa enaknya kalau Man Utd bisa dapet Wayne Rooney. gak mungkin pasti, pikirku. (Being a Man Utd fan, I learnt to limit my expectations in the transfer market.).

Tiba-tiba, akhir Agustus 2004, Rooney signed for Manchester United! apalagi ditambah dengan debut yang mengesankan. Lawan Fenerbahce di Champions League, Wazza mencetak 3 gol dengan kaki kanan, kaki kiri, dan free kick. Jago banget rooney! umur baru 19 lagi!. Wayne Rooney suddenly became the newest Old Trafford hero. Kesedihan ditinggal Beckham pun sirna seketika.

Saat semua orang terjebak dalam euforia Cristiano Ronaldo, I always regard Wazza as the most important United player. United can and could win even when Ronaldo played bad. Rooney? he was the heart of United. When Rooney played his heart out, United is invincible.

I always thought Rooney will never leave Manchester United. He loves the club, the club loves him, the fans love him, what more can you ask as a player?

Sigh. Perhaps troubled times are coming. Ferguson's famous Rooney monologue seemed like a plea to United fans to stay strong and stay together in this crisis. If you are a United fan like me, let's stay together and show our support.

because, as a wise man once said, "Mendukung Manchester United sering membuat kita sakit jantung dan hati berdebar, tapi tak pernah membosankan."

Disappointed.

I first heard about the rumor of Wayne Rooney wants to leave United. At first I thought it was just a rumor, because it was The Sun. Then, Sir Alex himself said in the press conference, "The boy wants to leave.". Yes, Wayne Rooney, the same man who proclaimed himself that he was at "the best club in the world" and he wanted to stay for life, wanted to leave Manchester United since August 14 2010.

A very sad news. I cried a little, and I am sure I will cry a little bit more on January, or Summer 2011, when finally Wayne Rooney leave Manchester United.

So long, Wazza, thanks for all the things you've done to United, and no thanks for all the things that you will do to United.

kemaren setelah aku mendapat inspirasi dari adeknya temenku (yang kebetulan memanggil dirinya sendiri popo), saya jadi ingin menggambar comic strip, yang isinya tentang kehidupan sehari-hari!

tolong saya didoakan agar project yang ini bisa bener2 ter-realisasi. karena project yang dulu, yaitu monolog, ndak kedengaran lagi kabarnya.

Sore

Sekarang lagi summer di LA, jadi walaupun pas aku nulis ini jam 7:34 PM, tapi langit masih belum gelap, matahari masih mengintip di sudut horison, dan bila kita bertemu aku masih bisa melihat wajahmu tanpa bantuan jarak minimal 3 meter.

I guess my favorite time of the day is this. sore sore menjelang malam, saat lampu kota dan lampu mobil mulai menyala. Saat orang2 yang bekerja kembali pulang ke rumahnya untuk bertemu keluarga, atau klo belom punya ya pulang ke bachelor pad nya. Meskipun hawanya jadi rada dingin, but I feel warmth. Somehow aku bisa merasakan kehangatan dari semua rasa rindu yang dicurahkan oleh orang2 yang tidak sabar ingin pulang tadi, and it's a nice feeling.

Ngga peduli kamu lagi stres, atau lagi sedih banyak problem, soal sekolah, kerjaan, dan kalo aku most of the time soal cinta hahaha, sometimes you just need to sit there, and enjoy the sights of lampu2 yang mulai nyala di kota.

Karena, meskipun hanya sejenak, kamu bisa merasakan kehangatan yang paling indah, yang berasal dari curahan rindu ke your loved ones.

Matahari sebentar lagi kalah sama malam, dan langit pun mulai gelap. Tinggal beberapa menit saja waktuku untuk merasakan hangat itu, jadi aku bakal akhiri post ini di sini, dan akan kuhirup semua kehangatan yang tersisa untuk memompa semangatku 24 jam ke depan.

Folders

There are a lot of folders in my brain to differentiate every memories I had in this life. Some of them are simply titled, Love, for example, or Food. Basically general things.

But I guess sometimes a person can be a folder title, because I have a special folder just for you; just like a teenage girl keeps everything about her love in one shoebox.

And I just compared myself to a teenage girl. Too much Katy Perry.

Beberapa hari ini, di dalam mimpiku aku selalu ketemu sama satu cewek yang aku sayang banget, dan dia cantik sekali. Tapi tiap kali aku bangun dari tidurku, aku selalu lupa siapa cewek ini. curious.

Birthday

Yes, I know my birthday is 1 month ago, but I only remembered to do this now. I have always been wondering about this. Are there any famous people who share a birth date with me? not necessarily the year? I've been thinking about this for quite some time, actually, since I was a kid.

When I was a kid, I forgot how old, I once looked through this thick dictionary in Indo called 'Buku Pintar'; and somehow there is this little footnote on every pages of the book listing every famous person born or died, starting from January 1st until December 31st.

From this book, I found out that I share my birthday with James Parkinson, English physician who discovered Parkinson's disease. That was quite something; but being a kid, I thought it wasn't very cool. I wanted to share my birthday with Sports Legends or Political Figure. ( At that time I thought the name Napoleon Bonaparte was very cool).

Thanks to the invention of the Internet generally, and Wikipedia specifically, I managed to find the list of famous people who share their birth date with me:

2. 1916 Howard Koch (director of Ghost)
3. 1948 Marcelo Lippi (Italian World Cup winning coach)
4. 1963 Chris "Jesus" Ferguson (Yes!)

Wow. And she's a Manchester United fan.
Now I'm happy.
